Hi Altman,

You pointed me in the right direction... Now sorted.

It is a tick box under View > Configure Columns
Then un-tick the "automatically expand..." box

More Info Here: Customizing the Appearance

Many Thanks... Dave

In the Thunar , click on upper end Edit  , go down onto Preferences & then to File Manager Preferences , then to Display , Side Pane , Behavior & Advanced .

Then go from there mate .

Wonder if it can be of any help here :

 http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/hidden-settings .

Might be handy somehow in tuning Thunar , your issue might be settled in there mate .

This paragraph could help :

/misc-remember-geometry    bool    Whether Thunar should remember the size of windows and apply that size to new windows. If true the width and height are saved to last-window-width and last-window-height. If false the user may specify the start size in 'last-window-width and 'last-window-height. This option is enabled by default.

Hi,

This is a first for me after numerous installs.
I normally set the preference for: View new folders using: Last Active View
and then whenever I open Thunar, the column widths are set how I like them
On a new clean install of LL2.2 columns are just reverting to narrow columns,
I adjust them, close them, re-open and they are narrow again.

Any pointers/tips/guidance appreciated.

Thanks... Dave
