Not sure which version of LL you are using however I'm still using 5.8 and following Steve's advise I checked my settings and they are as follows - I hope this is of some help to you.

If you mean a thumbnail view, try this.
On a File Manager (Thunar) window

Click View and ensure 'View as Icons' is set
Then
Click Edit -> Preferences
In the 'Display' tab check the 'Show Thumbnails' selection
If set to 'Never' try changing to 'Always'

Hello,
I am using Linux Lite & updates but now when there is a pdf I only see the red pdf adobe mark (icon), but
in the past I saw the first page of the pdf visible and not the red icon and that was ok...
I don't know how to make it the way it was...???
Can someone help me ?
