I hear you jerryferreira, but I'm yet to feel comfortable with any of the Software Centers out there, for a variety of reasons.
What we wouldn't use - Mint Software, Ubuntu Software Center, Lubuntu Software, App Grid, Deepin. What I am keeping an eye on, but still has some ways to go, Gnome Software. I'm not ruling anything out, but for now, Synaptic is more complete.

Yes, a good start

I should have stated that Lite Software is a good start to find the most commonly used software, but some newbies may want to find other titles not in Lite Software and they may find Synaptics a little daunting.

Thanks,

Hi jerryferreira

...I think that Lite users who are probably coming from a Windows environment may find Synaptics Package Manager a little cryptic as the main installer/uninstaller.
