Reading on the wikipedia link RC sounds much more accurate and I can see why you are doing it.
Some times betas of other things get a bad name or can be very buggy, using the new naming gives distance from that, allowing users to make a better informed choice.

I too like RC.. As they have been very stable..
I like the idea of the watermark on the Default Background - How difficult would it to be incorporate the similar into /etc/llver? "Linux Lite 4.4 RC"
Just another thought ...??....

[member=5414]firenice03[/member] I could put it in multiple areas, but in the name of simplicity, chose one.

LOL... I know it could be nightmare, if changing multiple files/
locations...
Thinking around the idea of "I can't upgrade to next LL" or related xzy = Oh lookie you installed the RC, now enjoy the Final...
Something where having the RC version wouldn't have the same outcome as the final...??...
Where it could be easily incorporated ie.. check "llver" to ensure you're not on a RC release prior to upgrade??
GREAT Idea though - I even like typing RC when referring...
;D LOL - RC's have a monochromatic appearance?? :-X :-X :-X

Can't change llver so much other software relies on reading that file in a certain way.
