Trying install video card w/o saying "Ubuntu 16.04" booting screen

I would like to know is that ok if i can use alternative driver?

Yes.
I asked last night about the CPU driver, and one of the Team advised it was okay to use the proprietary CPU driver.

I have since changed to this CPU driver and have not had any problems at all.

Yes it's good, I am using it on the computer I am typing this from with Linux Lite 3.2

Use the proprietary tested one for your graphics driver, and the proprietary one for your Intel CPU.

after installed, it says "Ubuntu 16.04" booting screen
