My Customized Linux Lite 2.8
#1
This is a couple of screenshot of the customization I made to LL 2.8.

The icon set used is available at the following link.
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/W...ent=158155

The following small image is a transparent .png graphic I made that I use as the background for the panel, it will work for panels up to 64 in size. For the menu I set the opacity to 25%.

The wallpaper is the last wallpaper I suggested in the thread at the following link.

The theme used is Adwaita Graphene,  Available at:

Looks nice @avj  Smile

I'll have to check out that gtk, I like the grey and it's not too dark as so many others are. Thanks for the link!

Acer Aspire One d250 Netbook, by any chance?

Very nice customisation avj although I must admit I'm not a fan of desktop icons - spoils any picture IMHO.

Thanks, it is an old Acer aspire one zg5 that I purchased back in 2009. I use an external 20" monitor and external dvd, and external usb hdd. I use it like a desktop, and have installed many different distros on it over the past few years. I have been running Linux Lite on it since version 2.0 Smile

To pauloz: I have seen many with the same opinion on desktop icons, but I guess I just like it, if I don't have icons on the desktop I feel like I have a wasted resource.  Smile

AVJ,

How do YouTube videos in HD full screen fair on your computer?  I see it comes with Intel graphics.

To torreydale:
To be quite honest I have a terrible connection (satellite), so I only watch videos in standard definition, otherwise most of the time I would be waiting for buffering. When I have full bandwidth all videos seem to play fine but I usually don't watch full screen so I really couldn't say.

@avj,

Awesome! I love Acer Aspire One netbooks. About 8 months ago I came across a deal on ebay for two Aspire One d-250's for 100.00 bucks US. Brand new and still in the original boxes, everything there except for the ac adapters. I've maxed the memory on both to 2 gb and replaced the hard drives with SSD's. They're wonderful little critters and among my favorite machines of all time. If available and you haven't done so, I'd strongly recommend an SSD for your's, makes an enormous difference!

Here's a pic of my blue d-250, playfully sitting on my desk. Can't really tell from the picture but yep! That's 32bit LL 2.8! It's on everything around here now...  Smile
