Want to say Hi, and hope to *finally* get the torrent to finish, LOL

I'm in Linux Mint at the moment.  I've downloaded and started numerous torrents in the past, but LL's torrent is being a real pain in the arse.  I've had this beast running all day....and it *still* isn't finished. Keeps crashing.

What's up?  Am I don't something wrong?  I downloaded it from LL's website.

How do you find the torrent client?  excuse my ignorance.  <whatever_that_symbol_is>Torrent 3.4.3 from 79.180.99.72 ring a bell?

I'm using Transmission 2.82,  I got the torrent from Linux Lite's official website, directly from them Wink

As for peers, looks like its all coming from sourceforge.

Its moving a bit faster, now but still unbelievable.  Maybe by morning I'll finally have 100%.  Its been up 1 day, 3 hrs.  Dang!  Nothing else running on my system, everything else is working fine...

I'm currently downloading LL 32bit at 1.4mb/sec, tons of seeds, less than 10 mins to go. Try installing Deluge and use that instead of Transmission.

I' m up after my "nap" (went to bed at 1:30 a.m.; up at 6 a.m.) and the transmission open (I was trying to get the iso built for the 64 bit lite) was still not finished.

Installed Deluge and in less than 5 mins it is now 35% done...but I'm building the 32 bit version as you have been.

I will try it on the 64 bit when this is done.  I have a few machines and some will need the 32 bit, so that's fine.  Hope it runs okay--got some old Thinkpads I want to put it on.

Kim

PS:  Don't know what the heck happened to Transmission.  Always worked before...Deluge done in less than 5-8 minutes; thanks!

Yep.  Take a lickin' and keep on tickin'.  I was in the store and handled some of the new home laptops and they seemed sooo flimsy.  I haul these old Thinkpads around everywhere and need something a bit more hardy, so I find cheap IBM thinkpads and I'm happy.

The one I'm on, tho, is a newer Lenovo thinkpad.  Always a thinkpad...had to get used to the newer keyboard, but its okay, so far.

PS:  Deluge's 64 bit done, also.  Shew!  Now my Lenovo can go to bed...

In transmission, look at

edit -> preferences

Then look at the download speed.  Is it been reduced?  Mine's was and I ncreased it to beyond the ISP speed.
