How to make my Brother MFC-240C all-in-one printer work?
#1
A friend of mine gave me his MFC-240C all in one printer. I see brother in the
printer setup but not for mine.

So what do I install to make it talk to my linux lite latest 32 bit os?

I'm late to the party, I know...

Check out Brother's support web site. They have quite a few installers for many of their printers.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right-doing,
there is a field. I will meet you there.

Hi,

You could try the standard Brother Driver Package.?
"Cups Wrapper drivers for bh7 brother printers" it includes "MFC-240C"

Menu > System > Install/Remove Software

Then click on the "Search" Button
Type "Brother" and hit enter
Highlight the:
brother-cups-wrapper-bh7 package
right click and "Mark for installation"
Then click the "apply" button.

Once done,
Menu > System > Printers
Try to "Add" your printer
