Social Network Intergrated Login
#1
You should now be able to link your Social Network account to the Linux Lite Forums.

The following Networks are enabled:

- Facebook
- Github
- Google
- LinkedIn
- Twitter

To link an existing social network account, go to Profile, Forum Profile (scroll to bottom) and select a Network.

This also makes it much easier for people to register too and makes it difficult for bots to register.
Also handy if you forget or lose your Forum password :p

Hello!

Yes, this has made things easier for me elsewhere. Anything to make things easier on the end user is always welcome. Actually, when I have the option to register somewhere via Google+, Disqus, or Yahoo, that's usually how I go about registering.

I have no Facebook or LinkedIn presence, at least not right now. The only way I'll ever have one is if I work somewhere, and I need to have one for my duties of employment. As it is, I already embarrass myself enough on line without them...

For those of us who don't care about social media Adblock Plus offers a feature to remove all those buttons in Firefox. Look for "Disable Social Media Buttons" at the bottom of this page:

https://adblockplus.org/en/features

On my  end it works like a charm. I never see any of those buttons on any web page.

Clearly, this thread is aimed at those who do care about social media. This kind of post belongs in a separate topic.
