New install - very impressed!

I installed Linux Lite after watching a review of v8. I am using it on a laptop which has a battery which only holds 50% of its allocated charge, and I'm getting 3hrs+ of use between charges - this was previously impossible. I am also amazed how little of the 8GB of RAM on my laptop is used - I used to struggle when a few programs and browser tabs were open, not any more. The Lite tools are also well thought out and incredibly useful - I'm currently using a dark theme, and my Papyrus folders are orange - who'd have thunk it Smile

I'm a long time user of Xfce and I'm wondering if Clipman can be included by default as a lot of ex-Windows users won't know of this useful clipboard monitor tool, the same applies to Xfce's excellent weather panel plugin and docklike taskbar - all of these are available in Lite Software. I feel it would be easier if they were available as optional Xfce panel plugins.

Also, there is a hidden setting for the window buttons which allows the user to drag and drop them just like in old Windows versions, would it be possible to make this a default for the panel? Panel preferences > Window buttons > Edit item > Sorting order: None, allow drag and drop.

Lastly, I installed Brave browser and uninstalled Firefox. Today I found Lite Updates showing I had 73 updates available, and when I checked what they were I found a mass of Firefox language packs. Is there any way I can cancel these updates as they're not needed?

Finally, here's some fitting words from a review of Linux Lite 8 I read in The Register:

As of version 8, Linux Lite has finally grown into its name. By modern full-fat desktop standards, such as Ubuntu itself, or other downstream distros such as Zorin OS and Linux Mint, it is a lightweight distro – and yet, it offers more assistance and guidance for Windows migrants than any of them.

Thanks for a great distro!
