Manjaro #1 on DistroWatch
#1
8) Justing mentioning it as an interesting topic of discussion. I don't think I can remember a time when Mint wasn't in the #1 slot. I supposed the times are changing.

It's a putsch!!! Wink

Indeed a rare occasion. I was impressed by Manjaro but stopped using it since used too much ressources.
They stopped making the 32 bits version also (last was 17.0.6).
Was the best Arch distro I tried though.

Cheers!

It's just page hits at D-watch.
I think the big 4 order of Linux OSs in actual use is probably still the same.

Debian
Ubuntu *counting all the flavors
Red Hat *RHEL & Fedora
Free BSD *Slackware

Goes down pretty fast after that, the rest being mostly derivatives of one or more of the above.
I could be wrong. Ubuntu may be #1 overall, but not even close on servers. That would Debian, with a number still actually growing.

I'm not saying I didn't believe the site had it that way on their list.  I just don't believe it reflects actual clicks by actual people.

It's all a matter of opinion across the web.

Right.
I went by something like this when I was looking for my first Linux OS...
https://fossbytes.com/best-lightweight-linux-distros/

If I didn't mind using a resource hog for an operating system, I wouldn't have nuked windows 10 and installed Linux Lite.
We only get one shot at this thing called life, let's make the best of it.

When you have 11 versions of your OS, you better be No.1! And by versions I mean DE. Combined arch's would be double that. The collective clicks alone...
