Here is an update to that checksum script if you want to include it in LL. It uses yad, zenity, and xclip

It's certainly a useful feature, but in so far as our most basic user thinks, they would have no idea what checksums are and how to comprehend them.
You're welcome to share your code with the community, and or add this to the Help Manual :)
