I would like to get our applications away from gksu so that we can make them multi-session usable. There was a post in the forum not long ago asking this same thing:

I know it is more work but I would like to use pkexec for multi-users and also for security reasons. Everyone is moving away from gksu and it hasn't been maintained for a while. With pkexec we not only bring more security to the execution but we also make it uniform across the GUI plus we allow administrators to authenticate from non admin accounts. There is absolutely no additional requirement or package to install so we could roll this out yesterday... the update will add the policy during installation. ( I have to create the policy for each of our applications of course and update the code accordingly).
I have already done the work for "Install Updates"... below is an example of wha it will be like:
