WinRocks4343,
The Help Manual's Video Drivers section says to go to Menu > Settings > Install Drivers. (https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/index.html)

can i uninstall nouveau before installing nvidia?

WinRocks4343,
You don't have to uninstall, just install the Nvidia proprietary, tested one........(you're gonna make me say it)......like the manual shows. In my own defense, I pointed you to the direct section covering that, twice. I don't expect everyone to be like me. I was drawn to this distro partly because of the documentation. Before it was laid out in tiles like it is today, it was one long webpage. I read it all. It would behoove you to do the same. I don't expect you will, but at least go over the sections I or those on the forum mention. Truth be told, I don't even know how to uninstall nouveau. I do know how to select the latest proprietary driver, though. For all I know, it uninstalls nouveau as part of its install.

I found this but am unsure what needs altering from it to make an efficient and concise tutorial for Linux Lite.
