Ralphy, I've added you to both the litetweaks and litesoftware gits as a collaborator. As long as we have agreed on an idea, you can push your changes without approval. Congrats. If you start work on any other gits, I'll add you to those too.

Thank you, Jerry. I will make sure to share with you and agree upon ideas before committing to master. For now, I will keep myself limited to improving just the tweaks we've been working on.

No I hadn't read that article. That's cool! I can't wait for the latest changes to go live. Lite Tweaks has improved a bit with the latest work we've put together for it :)

Speaking of improvements... I recoded (just for testing) the Hostname tweak to change the hostname and not having to reboot... for both beryl and citrine... BUT I'm having a hard time with xauth. Basically, I'm are at a point where just a logout-login will be sufficient to have the hostname changes applied and the only reason the user needs to logout is because the authentication cookie fails in my code. I'm not sure why:

Code:
sudo -u ${SUDO_USER:-$USER} -c "xauth add $(xauth list | sed 's/^.*\//'"$newhost"'\//g' | awk 'NR==1 {sub($1,"\"&\""); print}')"

If I manually match the authentication cookie I don't even need logout:

Code:
xauth add "linuxlitetest/unix:0" MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 cookie-id-here

I'm pretty close to have a full hostname change without having to ask the user for a reboot!

Sorry for seeming stupid and preferring Linux - I just don't know any better.

Brilliant! Keep at it. This is what I love about programming, facing challenges, and then conquering them. Very rewarding.
