Unbuntu Update NOT Installing in Software Updates
#1
:o  I have Ubuntu 14.04, I need 14:10,  Software Update informs me that 15.04 is available but it will not install.  I cleared all the items on the update page, the update program came up but then could not install.  Also I am having issues installing updates on a daily basis.  What can be done to fix this issue? Thanks!

Hello kcook,

I think you maybe better off directly on the Ubuntu Forum
Whilst Linux Lite is based on Ubuntu there are difference.

Googling shows plenty of 14.04 > 14.10 items:

I bring up the software update, loads the list of software, and then it comes up with the update for Unbutu 15:04, I need to have 14:10 first before I can upgrade to 15:04.  Tried to update in the Terminal, this is what I got.  (do-release-upgrade)

Turns out that this upgrade to 15.04 from Ubuntu may not be an LTS (Long-Term Support) version. I will be waiting for the new LTS version 15.04 to show up in the software upgrader before I upgrading. Thank you for your help!
