Hi Ralphy, this is not working here on a fresh 3.2 install in a VM.

Yes, this is pulled from the Linux Lite master.

Step back... I'm checking on a 32 bit machine now and it doesn't seem to execute... Hold on..

It works on 32 bit also... the file /usr/local/sbin/updatenotify-launcher is corrupted in that package... The file must be in UNIX format.

Here, let's fix it to prove my point:

1- delete /usr/local/sbin/updatenotify-launcher in your test machine.
2- create a new /usr/local/sbin/updatenotify-launcher:

sudo /usr/local/sbin/updatenotify
exit

3- Test again :)

We need to replace that file in GH, please do so after your tests.
