The text color of the buttons, is a pale gray shade. Barely visible. At my age, I need glasses and even so, this is some 95% guesswork.
Can you change the text color (black) and maybe add a Bold to the font attributes so it can be "striking" visible?
I doubt I belong to a minority of "overaged" users.

Fixed via an update Smile

1. Thanks for the quick answer!
Thank you Jerry for the quick answer! Although I still like the idea of a LL GPUDB, I can imagine the trouble behind putting up a new DB. Yet, I have no idea if such a DB exists anywhere so, it would be "The new kid in town". I'm not pointing to any distro forum, since this might  be available up to some point (not sure IF... though). You probably know that scavenging something even on this Forum of us, rises often problems. Even if search is narrowed, the return is somehow fuzzy, with many results that only have the search term, with no other valuable info. Say, "nvidia GF 600", will return at least 5 results where the only connection with the wanted result, is the search phrase (...term) itself...

2. The LKM update.
I got an update today. Here is the log data available:

Code:
2026-09-22 10:48:29 upgrade lite-kernel-manager:amd64 8.0-0160 8.0-0170

Since I don't know the real version number that contains the fix, all I can tell is that the buttons have the same faint grey shade, no bold. So, if the version is wrong (although the TZ here is UTC+3), I'll be waiting for the -0180, if this is the case, unless a restart is required to rerun the whole system settings.
My setup is with a /home so the system might remember the previous settings, although I re-tested with the glmark2, which means that the new LKM was started this time.

The only thing I could get from CLI, is:

Code:
/usr/bin/lite-kernel-manager /usr/bin/lite-kernel-manager:749: DeprecationWarning: Gtk.MessageDialog.set_image is deprecated   dlg.set_image(img)
The warning came from the "About" box. I suppose it will vanish if the image is called with the suggested function (dlg.set_image(img)). Not so sure though, since there are many minor errors coming from the Gtk kit. Maybe this is only on my machine since I use many apps based on Qt. I don't know if this mixture (Qt+Gtk) is fault tolerant enough.
Except for this glitch, I couldn't retrieve the version running LKM from CLI.
The version number came from dpkg.log.

Here is how it looks now:

The final window:

I guess now you can figure out what I'm talking about when I say "guess-work"...
As you can see in the image, there is nothing in this report about LKM version. Maybe you can add this in the next version update. Maybe it would be (more) useful to add it in the CLI output for who runs it like this.
The 10 points plus (938), came from the fact that yesterday I had Chrome running and this is a video hungry App...

LATER EDIT:

1. GPUDB

I finally found the way to upload the report. As I said, guesswork...
Going past that, the GPUDB looks fabulous!

2. Results

While there already are tons of better scores, comparing the results with some other configurations in range, I noticed a few things.
Surprisingly, the amount of RAM matters!  I thought for a long time that what matters, is the video configuration. At a second thought, i reminded that my video uses the CPU so the amount of RAM, really matters. Now seeing the test results, this is something tested and proven, having nothing to do with "educated guess".
Now, I'm really curious to test the laptop (ASUS M415U) and see where it leads.

Below is the window with the results to be uploaded:

...And the comparison. Mine is entry 56:

What theme are you running? The changes to the LKM were tested on the Lite theme.

Adwaita + Papirus.
I had many troubles due to the incompatibilities (font, font size, window properties icons missing and so on). I tested many others and one app or another generated unwanted results. Finally, I found this combination that seems to work overall.

I tested the Lite theme and indeed, looks very, very different.
My problem is... I highly dislike dark themes.
But since changing the theme is an acceptable trade-off and switching back and forth is not such an "end of the world", I guess I can go on this path, for now.
Still, I believe the problem has to be somehow solved. The window has many elements that are rendered wrong outside this theme (Lite) Button color; font color, etc.
Lite theme, has also lots of trouble rendering a readable icon for at least 50% of the set, for whatever set I choose.
Many icons, have some level of transparency, which make things go even worse.
Over the span of the latest 14 years, when I buried the Windows world (and never had even a pale shade of regret!), I tried lots of combinations. This one is the closest match to my needs. I know this is highly subjective and maybe this makes Linux so great: it allows subjectivity at a huge level!
The icon issue, as I see it, has only one solution: hand picking every icon I like and creating my own set (in a custom directory), which fits the chosen theme.
The painful solution, would be to create my own set "from scratch"... At an average of 30 minutes/icon, it would take many hours to do that, regardless the testing phase, which might take over one hour (more?) for each...
At that point, I would like very much to have a tool to help me build a custom icon set in a location of my choice, and allow me to use the format .png. But probably it requires a large amount of coding. So, still a dream...
Another problem I stumbled upon is the fact that entire sets of icons are in raster format. The vectors, allows resizing the image without the need to generate a bunch if icons (files) for the same image. I've noticed that lately many artists moved to .png, yet there are tons of .bmp, .jpg and the like. Maybe the .png is not the ideal format, but works very well, I used it a lot in my videos and works well enough to cover many needs.
The problem looks like this:
Panels, can be resized. Well... icons, are not quite so, as one would expect. They render many times an empty square, if any at all.
I know it's an XFCE problem, but here we are...
So, in the end, thanks for pointing me to a functional quick solution. I might need to make tests many times and the final goal of combining test results with the Lite GPUDB, widens the range of future choices. Saving some 20 - 30 USD, in not very persuasive but here we're speaking of hundreds of USD...
It goes like that:
Should i choose a dedicated video? (This ranges from a 200 USD to thousands...)
Should I choose an Intel, or an AMD CPU? (another hundreds deal...)
Which combination renders best results? (That's the painful question!)
How much RAM would I need? (Again, hundreds of USD)
Probably there are some more questions but those are the more relevant ones.
The Lite GPUDB, gets enough answers based on the available comparisons you can pair to narrow the range of choices, based on the paradigm performance/cost.
Now, the weird thing is that with only 110 entries, we already have an entire world of choices to make a decision on what to buy and at what price.
Now maybe you can figure out why I would like a more polished LKM tool. It's by far one of the most valuable tools you created for the Lite world!

Somehow off-topic:
How near are we from LL 8.2 RC1?
When can we expect to see it released?

Best regards!

1st October RC1. No big changes, very small release, inconsequential.
