Yad - Fixed and repackaged as yad_0.38.2-2

Never mind! Remember I use unlockforus.com mirror... the package hadn't been synced yet. I forced a manual sync and the new version came right down the pipe.

I see that the Menu entry under Development called 'Icon Browser'  is no longer there, so it is fixed :)

I'm building Yad from source from now on so that we can take advantage of the latest features and bug fixes, providing ofc it doesn't break compatibility. The Ubuntu maintainer for this application is not keeping up.

--html, lite-updatesnotify boxes, progress bars and the upcoming litesources to mention some. I first noticed it with wisker-menu-restore but that's not included in Linux Lite. litesources is though, and the UI for the newer mirrors check does not even load... I also noticed many things related to centering the text, etc. that just don't seem to work as it should or at least as it has always worked with yad prior 3.9.

Maybe you wanna debug on your end and run different dialogs with different options to see what I mean.


* also check if you can use markup such has fonts without breaking the text on dialogs headers with 3.9.x

Thanks Ralphy. Will take another look. Initial tests with current officially released LL apps showed no issues. We can always liase with the Yad dev to report issues.

Since there is almost nothing in terms of yad implementation in Linux Lite right now, you could use the following on a test box:

Test with yad 3.8.2-2 or 3.8.2-1 and you will see it works just fine while it breaks on 3.9.x

Between, current Linux Lite apps use yad mainly on question/info dialogs only and that's why it could perhaps go unnoticed but even then there are current dialogs that don't play nice.

Lite Sources - I'm using the latest pull from Github, not the repo you listed as that repo is not included in Linux Lite. I do see the following text issues on the main dialogue window:



I'll see what can be done to remedy this.

whisker-restore-lite not an official LL app as discussed elsewhere so not spending any time troubleshooting this.

Lite Updates Notify - text issues here too on dialogues. Will look into it.
