Thank you, removing the repository is part of the soles thos ution.  You may still have software on your system that added the repository. This software may need uninstalling.
If we knew what was done on your system that caused the repository to be added it might help understanding.

I was rummaging with the synaptic manager and noticed after the issue occured  Either I selected cannonical or when I clicked fix broken packages is when the issue occured.  I dont know further......
