And where I ran the live usb? I'm not sure what answer to give. I stuck it in the usb port and at boot selected the first option I think to start the live desktop.

lol fair enough. I meant, what hardware was Linux Lite Live USB running on, and yours by the way seems to be capable enough to have a smooth Live USB experience. Did you check the iso file?
