Just wondering, why was originally Ubuntu instead of Debian chosen for the base of Linux Lite?
Always wondering the same thing, any information about this [member=2]Jerry[/member] ?

Primarily it has an easier installer to use than the Debian installer for first time linux users. It was also what I have mostly used, so users benefit directly from my experience with it. There are a ton of other reasons, but those are 2 of the main ones.
