How can I upgrade From 2.8 to 3.0

Yes you are correct it's a older machine and it's still works and I'm only try to put it to some use with just simply task. I do realize that sooner or later we're going to have to put these machines to rest.

I has 2.8 on it but after trying to install 3.0 I guess it mess up my current installation so now I'm trying to I stall 2.8 again and it just keeps installing and does not complete the installation
