Good question.  I think you told me the home folder selection is what would cause the installer to fail in the 2.x series.  And I was watching Leo LaPorte install Ubuntu 16.04 LTS in a video today and both options were easily available as part of the install, so I'd like to know about both for LL 3.x.

Not yet tested. LL is built from only a handful of Ubuntu packages, so things end up quite differently.
