Unless I've missed it, Linux Lite doesn't come with a utility for searching the file system. Is there any reason why this might be?

You can also install gnome-search-tool from the synaptic package manager and compare it to catfish.

Code: $ apt show catfish Use the search box to install it via synaptic package manager if you wish to install it. I find it faster though using Code: $ locate libflashplayer.so Try the locate command. It will teach you something. "locate bash", "locate wget" , "locate mumble".
