Congratulations on your postgraduate studies. As for what assistance is permitted, and what is not, the only ones who can answer you with certainty is your college or university.

However, if you have special needs, and the college or university gets federal funding (almost all do), they should allow for, and provide, 'reasonable accommodation' for your specific situation...
