LAPPY

After installing Linux lite I gained a machine on my network called LAPPY should I be concerned ? I love everything else about Linux Lite & want to stick with it but don't like the appearance on a new machine on my network that I haven't named myself!

Welcome Pete Smile
LL is preconfigured to use that share name.
You can always change that as well as other Samba settings.
Code:
gksudo leafpad /etc/samba/smb.conf

Lappy I believe was the share name that Jerry used for the help manual tutorial for file sharing between Windows and Linux Lite. It has been there in previous releases. I guess it never got removed since the tutorial was done lol. Its nothing to worry about.  I'm not sure how to remove it though.
