Can you please provide more details on the error you have mentioned? I would also advice to plug in a cheap, wired keyboard for now in your device so you can keep continue your work.
P.S. Upon logging out, I realized that onscreen keyboard is available in there (in top left, accessibility icon). Onscreen keyboard would be helpful for your instance. It also seems that your HP Pavillion x2 has a touchscreen display. If it works, it would be helpful to assist you in your inconvenience as of the moment. 28
