Canon all-in-one printer/scanner

I have a Canon MX922 all-in-one printer that I'm trying to make work with LL, along with a Win 10 desktop and a Win 7 laptop but I've been trying to set it all up for 2 days and have gotten nowhere.
The printer was originally set up in Windows 10, then the Win 7 laptop was added and file and printer sharing is enabled on the Win 10 machine.
The printer shows up under network printers and I can click on it and proceed. The drivers are found, etc. However, when I get to the page where asked to describe the printer, printer name, location and click 'Apply', I get the following error: 'server-error-internal-error'
Quite a bit of my hair has accumulated around the computer desk so I've come to beg for help in making this printer work before i lose any more!
Please remember I'm very new at Linux so very specific instructions are needed.
Thanks

Can't Drop File Into Recycle Bin

Had a chance to install LL4.0 today.
I like having the Recycle Bin icon showing on my desktop to drag files there to delete.
When trying to drag a file into the Recycle Bin, a blue + sign shows when the file is on top of the Recycle Bin, but when I let go, a Trash- File Manager opens, but the file I want to delete doesn't get placed in the Recycle Bin.

Just installed 4.0 to an older Dell Inspiron One (Athlon 2). Quanta Touch screen along with all apps works perfectly. Dual booting with Windows 7 for a friend/customer (network) He is immensely impressed. Once again LL excels.

Solution to slow booting

It appears that slow booting has been a problem with Linux Lite for some years. I downloaded and installed LL 4.0 last night and was about to discard it when a search turned up these steps:
sudo leafpad /etc/default/grub
replace GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash” with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash profile”
sudo update-grub2
sudo leafpad /etc/init.d/rc
find this line : CONCURRENCY=none or CONCURRENCY=makefile
replace with : CONCURRENCY=shell
sudo apt purge virtualbox*
sudo systemctl stop vboxadd.service
sudo systemctl stop vboxadd-service.service
sudo systemctl disable vboxadd.service
sudo systemctl disable vboxadd-service.service
untick the vbox client in the menu, settings, session and startup, application auto-start setting.
I do not think that software so recently released should require a user to do such things, specially as LL is said to have been designed for first time Linux users.

Rainlendar2

I mentioned recently that rainlendar2 does not work on LL 4.0. (I have a desktop which is still running LL 3.8 and a laptop which has now been upgraded to LL 4.0) I have since found that there is a general consensus on the rainlendar forum that there is some problem with Ubuntu 18.04. Anyway, I tried out various ideas and nothing worked. So I have done what I should have thought of in the first place. On the laptop I installed the older version of rainlendar2 and that is working fine. So, until this is sorted I will stay with the earlier version.
My only question is, if this is ever sorted out, how will I ever know? Still, this is just a suggestion for anyone on this forum who is having the same problem. Meanwhile thanks for a great distro.

Ok, I've been playing with LL most of the morning to try to become familiar with it. I'm amazed I can get around so well in it so quickly. Thanks for making it so user friendly.
I've not had any problems with LL so far but I'm a digital tablet user and want to set up my Wacom tablet with it. I searched the forum here and didn't see any posts about tablets and just want to avoid any pitfalls before I attempt the installation.
I found some directions at the Ubuntu forum (I think it was) which said everything was pretty much plug and play. Is that the case with LL also?
Is there anything I should be aware of before I try to hook up the tablet? Will the drivers update automatically as they have in the past (although I'm sure there won't need to be many driver changes with LL)?
This will be my first major change and I don't want to mess it up. If the tablet is installed successfully, maybe I'll have the confidence to tackle the printer next!
