Do linuxlite have default image software that have function to resize image ?
I know GIMP can do it. But it is not light software (GIMP ~ Photoshop)
Like in windows, it has paint.
In linuxlite, i open image viewer but not found function to resize.
Does image viewer has function to resize?
If no, is there a light image software to resize image?

I was maybe going to change the icon for the menu so I opened properties (or whatever it was) and clicked on the leaf icon which (i think) would just open the folder it was in but it stalled and then crashed. I tried it again and it crashed and something else came up saying the menu would close or something.
Then it was gone, both the icon and the title
I restarted and it is still gone
I did nothing but click on the icon in properties
How do I get it back?
Thanks

| disable auto-creation of .bak files when renaming in Thunar |

Hi all,
I'd like to be able to disable the auto-creation of .bak files. I understand to have .bak files automatically created is a good thing, but I don't want this feature, especially when I am renaming a video file and have to wait for Thunar to backup the large file size before I end up deleting it in my home folder.

Before I begin, I want to add a little about me. Been trying to get into linux OS's for just about a week and half now, 2 different older machines, and have to say, almost everything is fine with each install, ubunu/lubuntu/LM Zorin, puppy/peppermint...just 2 area of concern to my keeping me from 100% commitment. The sound and GPU stuff. Im 52, have an A+ Cert which don't mean much anymore, too familiar with Windows...but hands down the responsiveness to just moving around the desktop and even surfing and video watching, (w/o a dedicated gpu and no sound), on those older systems tells me this is where I need to move. I am 100% noob to this so I may ask dumb questions but really want to understand how to fix these systems up myself, later on. for instance , I have seen where the ALC880 drivers for sound are fixed up for several different combinations of builds, yet, I have no clue which one to try an install. I do not know how to find what DKP version, code name, or series, or even what build means. and using the terminal is 100% alien tome atm.SO this all being said, I will gratefully accept help, learn it, and do my best to pass it along and solve others issues. And promote Open Source transitions with family and others along the way!
Ok my current issue to solve. No Sound from back jacks or even front HS jacks and GPU not being fully used. I am not sure what to post or even use to post next.

First off this may just be me...
I was very frustrated trying to sign up for the forums. I am visually impaired and I could not read some of the captcha pictures, so I'd request a new image. When I requested a new image the whole page refreshed and it took me back to the agreement page. So I clicked on it and now all my information that I'd entered previously was gone. It took me a few times to find a captcha image that I could read and get through the sign up process.
Sorry, for the lengthy intro., is there a way to make the captcha refresh only, and not the whole deal? Again, this probably only me, or a victim of my settings in my browser that allow me to 1/2 way see images and text on the web.
Thanks again for the great OS! Love it -- it saved me from a "broken" debian machine.

Having just read a few comments about update errors, I would like to know if Google Chrome is required in order to perform software and security updates to Linux-Lite 4.4 before I install the os to my pc notebook.
I try to avoid anything Google as much as possible (ha, ha), so I refuse to have their browser on my Acer. Will someone please clarify this issue for me?
Thanks.

that is a terminal copy paste:

you asked for an impossible situation or, if you are using the distribution

They have taken out of «Incoming».
The following information can help resolve the situation:
The following packages have unfulfilled dependencies:
caliber: It depends: python-cherrypy3 (> = 3.1.1) but it is not installable
It depends: python-dateutil but it is not installable
It depends: python-msgpack but it is not installable
It depends: python-pyparsing but it is not installable
It depends: python-routes but it is not installable

Hi,
I'm new to Linux so hope I'm in the right place for advice.
I have an old - circa 2002 - Dell Optiplex GX50 with Windows XP Professional which I'm trying to load Linux Lite 3.8 on to.
I've managed to boot into the downloaded ISO and moving forward with the install.
I get to the desktop and click through on the Install Linux Lite icon
I now progress as far as the Install screen,
* Choose my language - Ccntinue to the next screen where I'm
* Offered options to download updates whilst installing Linux and also to install third party software - * I leave both blank and click Continue
Now the problem emerges - a progress wheel appears and appears to show activity but nothing happens - I've let the install programme continue running overnight but no success - the wheel keeps turning but goes nowhere.
This is now the third time my progress has halted at this stage.
I would welcome any and all advice, guidance and helpful hints.
Pat
