  Lite 3.8 update failure
Posted by: lewisw62 - 12-11-2019, 02:27 PM - Forum: Installing Linux Lite - Replies (3)

Hi Everyone

I have a complete update failure of a 32 bit Lite 3.8 machine that mentions an ip address and 'main i386 packages'. I have another similar machine that is still updating perfectly connected to the same router. Can anyone suggest a remedy? Here is the update failure log:

  text size

Greetings everyone
I wanted to enlarge the text size in Firefox, so I used a bigger number in fonts > advanced > minimum font size
the text size is now bigger, but the lines are overlapping. How do I change the line spacing?
Here is a screenshot of the text now:

  Notepadqq questions
Posted by: sallam - 12-10-2019, 06:47 PM - Forum: Other - Replies (5)

Greetings everyone

I have 3 questions and hope someone could help me please..

1- I've recently installed Notepadqq text editor, because it allows me to open multiple files in multiple tabs at startup, Bu each time it asks:

Quote:The file "file_name.txt" you are trying to open is 3.59 MiB in size. Do you want to continue?
and I have to click Yes each time.
Is there somehow a way to avoid this message?

2- Its supposed to be similar to Notepad++ for Windows, but qq doesn't seem to have the option of selecting lines by clicking at their numbers in the side bar.

3- When I select word wrap, the first and last words in the lines sometimes has a character or 2 hiding behind the sidebar or the right margin. Is that a bug?

Do you recommend any better text editor alternative that can handle large files and can open multiple files in tabs?

  text editor ?
Posted by: sallam - 12-08-2019, 08:31 PM - Forum: On Topic - Replies (1)

Greetings
I'm used to Notepad++ in Windows, where I can open multiple tabs. But the text editor that comes with LL doesnt seem to have that feature, or does it?
Do you suggest any software that can handle large text files, like 80,000 lines and such, with multiple tabs for multiple files opened at the same time?
