Welcome to Linux Lite. No "arrogant and eletist programmers" to be found here, just us common folk with a common goal: help as many other folks as is possible.

Hi all,

just a quick hello from me, new here. I hope everyone is feeling well and not too stressed.

I've been drawn to the idea of Linux os a while now, and have had limited success with a couple of distros. Here's hoping for better with Lite. (see my post in installation problems).

I really don't like Windows, the ethos (a single person taking tens of billions of dollars from others!!), the spyware etc. Also we are expected to consign perfectly good computers to landfill (aka "re-cycling") when Linux can give them a new life.

I was interested in Jerry's post where he referred to having encountered arrogant and eletist programmers, and that rang some bells too, such people are not confined to the world of computers.

Whether I succeed in becoming a Lite person or not, I wish you all well with this good project.
