Hello!

It would seem that Amazon Prime uses the same DRM scheme (Silverlight) as Netflix does - which means you can't use something to download them for offline viewing...

yes thank you linux is hard to get used to but it runs better on my computer than windows ever did again thanks for the advice

Yes I was that way too. But I found that the more I used it the easier it got and made more sense. Windows is ok but I kinda prefer Linux Lite 2.0 (or Beryl as it is called I think). You will be much happier. And even if you do get a little frustrated with LL 2.0 All you have to do is come by the forum and have a graze and see if anyone has already done what your looking for or trying to do. If not feel free to ask.

And BTW Welcome to LL 2.0 Family

Well yes
You can first try the Install updates, (that is at the top of the menu) that should load any and all updates you may need.
Next is to look for Install Additional updates under All in the Menu, That will pop up a page that has a list of thing you can individually and automatically download and install.

Then after that you can go to Install/Remove software which is located two more below the above mentioned Install Additional Software. Clicking on that will pop up what is called the Synaptic manager. You will need to enter you password in the window that asks for it, Then you will need to click on the reload button at the top of the left hand corner of the page. That will reload the Synaptic. It might take a few seconds to a minute depending on your system. (You will need to make sure you have a internet connection for all of these of course) Then once that is finished reloading click on the button that says "Mark all upgrades" and when you see a pop up window that has a button on the lower right corner that says "Apply" click there, then click "Apply" next to "Mark all upgrades," then click "ok". It will then do a complete update for you. You may have to wait a bit if there is a lot to update. Afterward, when it is done, it will close the window for you. Now, should you have a name of something you wish to look for say: Blender which is 3d rendering software, simply type in the search field "Blender" and it will find it for you. You can then click in the box and it will automatically select any and all additional software it may need and then you click apply again and it does all the rest.

Afterward you just have to look in your menu for Blender and use it from there.
Hope this helps

Hi Kendall,

Try this. Open a terminal and type:
Code: [Select]
sudo dpkg --configure -a
hit enter if you haven't done so already

enter your password when asked - nothing will print on the screen, that's fine

and hit enter one last time.

I hope that helped.
