Another shot in the dark... do you use an adblock in your browser? If so, make sure WebRTC is not blocked. I've seen similar issues from users using ublock extension and blocking WebRTC.I'm sorry I can't be of much help. I have really[/size] never used anything Facebook. Maybe someone else can hint you in the right direction.

In the past a plugin was necessary for Facebook video calling, I'm not even sure if that's still the case.ok, here is the thing.when i used this app "messenger for desktop" https://messengerfordesktop.com/i was able to video chat with one friend who was on their cell phone.but when i tried to do a video chat with a friend who has a desktop, same as me , it had problems kept crashing, just like as if i was using facebook itself (if that made sense, ha ha ) . of course they have windows and i have linux, so i thing it is a facebook problem whe one is using linux , is my guess, i will try and get them to sigh in using skype, and do a skype video chat......BRB

Can you do video chat from the Messenger for Desktop application without issue? I understand this is not a solution to your posted issue; I just want to isolate the problem.I'm asking because I know for a fact that Messenger for Desktop has some additional dependencies that are installed with Messenger for Desktop. Maybe that's related.
