I used LL a lot some years back (2013) and was delighted to see that 3.8 supports installation of older kernels.
Some of my hardware will not behave properly with anything after 3.16 so this looks like a winner for me.
One question - do these kernels get all the security updates etc as and when they come through to the new ones or are they fixed?
