The text boot will usually occur because proprietary video drivers have been installed, so this is a little strange.

Try:

Code: [Select]

sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth
and select liteboot. Then do:

Code: [Select]

sudo update-initramfs -u
Then see if it gives you the feather boot splash.

Hi Jerry, No I did not install any drivers just did a clean installation, this was a dual boot but after seeing how fast Lite was I decided to just install Linux lite 3.6 but there's something up with the boot up screen it only displays a few texts that say, Linux 3.6 nothing more

Not sure I thought It would go back to the LL feather logo splash.

It's just a text display not a image

Work like a charm thanks so much Jocklad it was a easy fix. I did not want to reinstall Linux lite because it works just right

They have really improved how fast it is

Lite Tweaks--Bootup fix--Restore the boot splash to Linux Lite.

Which fix are you referring to? is this something that will show the Linux lite logo at startup


EDIT: I found the fix in Lite tweak I'll let you know how it works

Hello everyone, I have a issue with one of my machines bootint up, you see on this machine I also had Lubuntu installedbut decided to install Linux lite 3.6. When I boot the machine I still see Ubuntu 16.04 on the splash screen and not Linux lite logo, is there something I need to change?


I did not to have to reinstall Lite because it's running like a champ



Any help would be greatly appreciated
