The
AccuWeather website has a weather archive (e.g. max/min temperatures for past years/months/days), as well as weather forecasts: you just specify the town of interest on their website to view the data.
It came to my notice that AccuWeather seems unsafe, as it appears to collect WiFi data & MAC address details, see
https://www.zdnet.com/article/accuweather-caught-sending-geo-location-data-even-when-denied-access/ Contrary to this, Norton appear to have apparently indicated that this website is safe
https://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=accuweather.com I would like to access AccuWeather on my laptop, but without it gathering details of my WiFi router, etc. In an attempt to avoid potential security issues with AccuWeather, I attempted accessing the website using the Tor browser (using the
standard settings which come as default with Tor), but access was denied as indicated by the notification below, which in itself arouses suspicion. However, I am able to access AccuWeather on our network, using either Chromium or Firefox browsers by themselves.
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/hastings/tn34-1/april-weather/327941" on this server. Reference #18.3d012417.1559974624.610e25a
Is there anyway to get round this access issue?
Many thanks in advance for any help with this.
