Weird, I didn't see it before. I was able to install 3.18-rc6 from Ubuntu mainline anyhow. Thanks though.
I just upgraded kernel from 3.13 to 3.17 and i have only one problem , i don`t have Sound
I have a Toshiba Tecra M5: Core2Duo 1.66Ghz , 4gb Ram , Intel GMA 945.
is there any specific reason you require 3.17? If it is causing an issue, go back to what you were using.
3.18 Linux Lite kernel is available for 32 & 64bit machines. As per usual, please read the warning below.
Open a terminal and do:
Code:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-linuxlite-3.18.0 linux-image-linuxlite-3.18.0 -y
Ignore any errors in the terminal.
WARNING: This should NOT be tested on your everyday machine unless you know how to remove the kernel from a tty. If you have a spare pc or laptop lying around with ATI, nVidia or Intel graphics cards we really need your feedback and your results.
The D620 is now running 3.18. - currently getting a kernel panic defaulting back to 3.13. I will push it to the NUC this afternoon and see if it does the same.
Running 3.18 and so far no problems
