From the original post in page 1. If happy. Don't use it. I use a 3.16 kernel on my touchscreen atom netbooks because that is what works best on them. 4 series are too buggy on them.

Also installed on the Dell XT2 Touchscreen Laptop. No complaints so far Jerry.
Fresh install today on both computers so will wait and see.

Installed 4.1.1 kernel on one laptop. So far, so good. I don't expect any issues on any of the other machines, as most of them are fairly new.
I only had issues on one old HP netbook using the 3.19 and 4.x kernels. I just rolled it back to the previous one...

removed about 1/2 a gig of old kernels and headers (3.13 up to 3.18) to free up /.
Will Kernel 4.1.2 be available soon 4.1.1 is proving buggy for me..
I wonder if the 64bit version is more buggy than the 32 bit since the 32 bit works fine on an older machine..

FWIW, my advice is to 'roll back' to the previous kernel. I'm with Jerry - unless you need something that only the latest kernel features, stick with what you have that DOES work.
Since nothing ever gets removed (not a bad thing, mind you), the kernels just keep getting bigger and bigger. The larger the kernel, the less resources left for everything else. It gets even worse if you have a lot of them and never remove any...

Hopefully, the next version of Linux Lite will keep the current kernel because everything is working great. If not and there is a problem with a newer kernel, I'll have to learn how to roll back to the one in 2.4.
