How can I connect my phone (Android phone) so that I can access my files then transfer them into my pc?
It seems not being recognized when connected.
Any way or application that can help?
Thanks.
What phone are you on? What version of Android are you running? We can't proceed without the most basic of details when supporting folk. thank you Smile
AirDroid app, as long as you have wifi.

Keith.
I had a similar problem..
It seems connecting Android Phones can be a bit Hit 'n' Miss
Depending on the Make/Model & Version of Android.

I ended up taking drastic measures and installing CyanogenMod on my phone,
NOT for the faint hearted.

But now have the benefits of @ 20% better battery life,
It unlocks when it detects my home wifi, and more neat features.
and far less Google/Samsung bloat.
My phone is Motorola Droid Turbo running Android 5.1  :-[
Transfering files via wifi I am using Feem. It works fine.
I need to use cable connection for big files.
I'm using 5.1.1 Is USB Debugging turned on? If so turn it off. Also, go to Storage, USB Connection and make sure Media Device (MTP) is selected.
I will try it. AirDroid seems not to support Linux desktop. Feem is fine. Good thing is my external storage device is recognized.
@stevedat
Airdroid Web works fine with Linux
