Post by: asa on November 17, 2014, 11:40:39 PM
i need a new pci-express not sure if this means anything or helps me know what to get but:
bus-ID: 01:00.0
anything? just looking threw setting linux tells, the store does not really have much choice... is their a way to check if linux supports the current new geforce on most tiger direct shelves or is the reason i had such a smooth ride is the older software?

From the EVGA site:  Designed for the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture offering the highest data transfer speeds for the most bandwidth-hungry games and 3D applications, while maintaining backwards compatibility with existing PCI Express motherboards for the broadest support.

So, if you have a PCIe x16 (long slot) you should be ok.
