@ZeadYes Ubuntu use Intel Official drivers, but there is always a delay. You can get Intel Drivers direct from Intel site if you want.It seems unless you start adding PPA's then you don't get everything you need unless you stop using LTS14.04.3 gives the Kernel 3.10 , But you need 15.10 to get all drivers also..I guess this is where you have to make a decision..??You stay with known/hardware and stability with LTSand try to "patch" for New Hardware if possible.orto keep up with Latest New Hardware, don't use LTS
Yes Ubuntu 14.04 can now work provided you update the kernel and graphic stack : - a kernel which is at least 3.19 (for instance linux-image-generic-lts-vivid from trusty-updates) - xserver-xorg-video-intel and mesa packages from oibaf PPA (ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers Trusty) - package i965-va-driver (currently rev 1.6.0-pre1-1~trusty) from Wolfgang Schupp PPA (ppa:wsnipex/vaapi Trusty) There is no particular problem (no kernel/xserver freeze anb no green / pink glitchy stuff in VLC) except that the display of heavily loaded pages by chromium may be a little chopped.
O.K,I will give it a go... I will have to get the NUC.Do the ISO creation at home on my PC with VBox.Thanks...
