Hi folks,
A while back I was trying to solve a dual screen layout issue and ARandR was the perfect solution. It has been working wonderful for many months now. However, this morning we had a very short power hiccup......now my ARandR layout will no longer autostart. I have re-opened the app, recreated the layout, saved the layout as screenlayout.sh (just like it was before). Still no luck. I have also removed and recreated the autostart link again within Sessions and Startup.......again no luck getting the layout to work after reboot.
I know the screenlayout.sh file works.....as double clicking causes the screen to switch to the correct layout. Any ideas why I cannot get it to autostart anymore, when it worked fine before????

How are you launching it, with xfce session? If possible can you take a screen shot of the entry for the screenlayout.sh file? Should be as simple as making sure it's executable (altho you mentioned clicking on it works) and putting the line
sh /home/usernanme/screenlayout.sh
in the command field.

I am trying to auto launch it using Sessions and Startup/Application Autostart......this was instructed in another thread....

This used to work fine when I first tested. However, this computer rarely gets turned off....so it has not been tested in some time. I am not sure if some update has broken something.

Are you logging out proper, because xfce has a session feature. And it may not be executing the startup apps if your session is being restored rather then starting up fresh.

I have done numerous restarts and I have completely shut down the computer and waited 20 secs before restarting. Both have not autostarted the layout correctly, while everything else seems to work fine. I do not have the "save sessions for future logins" checked.
Interestingly, I just tried adding a screenlayout.sh link to the rc.local file to see if it would work that way......it did not. The screenlayout.sh is marked as executable and launches fine when double clicked as before.
