Update problem - PPA

(1/1)

stevef:
You're welcome.

Sorry, I don't know what redshift is.  The best contact for assistance with a package would normally be the developer.

The Linux Lite manual section on uninstalling software is here
https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/software.html#uninstsoftware

If you are looking for more specific help, you need to describe the uninstall methods already tried and what results they gave.

Vytenis Kivilius:
Thank you very much. Updates now works, but can not fully delete Redshift

stevef:
The three PPA packages (redshift, flux and 'ppa') don't (currently) have releases compatible with the version of Linux Lite being used which is jammy based.
This conflict is causing the update process to error.

The three incompatible PPA packages should be removed from the system.

After removing the software, ensure the PPA references are removed from the update list.
Removing the PPA references from the update list should allow the update to run.

See
https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/software.html#pparem

If using PPA software, it is important that the PPA has a release that is compatible with the OS in use.
See this link for advice on selecting and installing PPAs

https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/software.html#ppa

If you are having problems removing software, re-check the installation instructions used.
Reputable software will provide clear uninstallation methods.
If you can't find help there you will need to provide a bit more information.
