Upgrade Error - Could not get lock



I've split your post to a new thread.

You've asked about this a couple of times before

The message is usually triggered when an update process is already active when a second update process is initiated, for example starting a manual check when an automated background check is already running.
If it is an automated upgrade just waiting is all that is needed.
If you happen to have a package manager open, it will need to be closed before running updates.

Install Updates Error log
Install Updates could not successfully download and install available updates.
Go to and paste the log below into the Software - Support - Updates section for assistance.

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend. It is held by process 5907 (apt-get)
E: Unable to acquire the dpkg frontend lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend), is another process using it?
