Hi everyone,

We've added a small but useful feature to the Support forums. When you start a new thread in any of our Software Support or Hardware Support sections, you'll now see a short System Specs panel above the message box.

Just pick your:

- Operating System
- CPU / Processor
- Memory (RAM)
- Storage type
- Graphics (GPU)
- Network device (optional)

CPU, GPU and Network are type-to-search — start typing your model (e.g. "i5-8250U" or "RTL8821CE") and choose it from the list. Don't know your network chip? A one-line command is shown right there to find it.
If your exact hardware isn't listed, just type it in or pick "Other".

Your choices then appear in a neat box at the top of your first post, so whoever helps you has the details up front — no more back-and-forth asking "what hardware are you running?". That means faster, better answers for you.

As always, thanks for being part of the community

This is designed to help those that are helping visitors in need of Support, and should cut down dramatically on unnecessary posts and wasted time for all parties.

All Support Sub-Forums eg. Software - Support > Installing Software require mandatory (and Optional) entries of basic system information to help us reach a solution much sooner.

Hi folks
I'm currently trying to install my Brother HL-L2325DW printer and make it work with Linux Lite, but I have stumbled on a printing problem that I can't seem to fix.
System Information
Linux Lite Version: 7.4 Memory: 8 GB RAM Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B450M-A Kernel: 6.8.x Graphics Chip: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
Printer Information
Printer Model: Brother HL-L2325DW Connection: USB
Problem Description
The printer is recognized by Linux Lite and is listed correctly in the Printers settings as well as in the CUPS interface. The installation process seems to be done correctly, but after I print a document, the printer stays silent.
On few occasions, the print job briefly rights in the queue and then disappears as if it was printed successfully, but no pages come out. Sometimes the job remains pending without any action.
Drivers Attempted
I've already downloaded and installed the original drivers from:
https://support.brother.com/g/b/download...l2325dw_us
Also, I installed a Linux driver pack that can be found here:
https://printerdrivers.com/brother-hl-l2325dw-driver/
Both setups ended without showing any errors, but still the printer doesn't print anything.
Troubleshooting Performed
I removed the printer several times and put it back afterwards.
I experimented with installing from both the Printers app and the CUPS interface.
I rebooted the CUPS service.
The printer is correctly seen by the system.
I even tried printing from CUPS.
Double-checked the USB cable and the printer are in good working order.

Current Status
Printing device detected.
Driver installs okay.
Printer recognized by CUPS.
Print jobs accepted by CUPS.
No actual printing operation happens.
