@Searchernow  - From some previous experience in e-commerce I can attest that Stripe works conveniently both from the merchant's and from the shopper's point of view, BUT, I'm not certain whether Stripe allows payment for donation purposes. I looked at posteo.de, but as far as I can tell it's a paid email service, i.e. the payments are for a service, not as a donation. It may be worth looking into as an option, but I'm not sure what the rules are (does the payee need to be at a registered non-profit organisation, or what?) In general, with payment processors, for donations the situation may be different than for when people are paying for a specific product or service.
Using Linux Lite for everything now. I put it on my desktop and my laptop. Woohoo!

We currently offer 12 ways to donate, I'm unsure if there is an equal in the linux community. Happy to entertain more ideas.

a lot of groups and businesses are using Stripe payments - I think they don't ask for much info - have a look on the posteo.de email provider's site, their payments page https://posteo.de/en/site/payment  has the following:

"Credit card payment occurs using the payment provider stripe.com. We selected this provider as we are not required to transfer any personal data to the provider other than the credit card details (card number, expiry date, and CVC). In addition, we do not receive any personal details from stripe.com for the person paying".

This is more about anonymity I suppose, and doesn't help the OP, but anyway might be useful for others who are reluctant to have a paypal a/c.

thank you for the alternative using ko-fi. but it's still need credit card info. it's difficult for me since i have no credit card. is there any solution to give donate without credit card method ? thank you

Some places you can get pre-paid card in the grocery shop and they top up the card with the value of money you pay. Some it is fixed amounts you just buy it and when it is empty you throw it away and buy another one. (or make some thing by recycle them)

Other way is to use money transfer shop you pay it cash it transfers that cash to the bank account in another country.

Hello!
Just like you, I didn't want to give Paypal any personal info.  This is the alternative, without having to register: giving with your credit card through Paypal.

I don't know if different systems operate in different countries, but I use paypal and do not have an account. I pay as a 'guest' and only minimal info is required to verify credit/debit card  validity. I donate to LL via paypal from UK.
1) Lenovo T520 i5 LL3.8 8GB ram, fast & stable
2) Medion P4 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, quite fast & stable
3) eeePC 901 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, fast & stable
4) eeePC 701 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, slower & stable but small and light enough to travel with me to New Zealand when visiting family in Blenheim.

Thanks @Vera , It used to be like:
1. I have the address where to donate
2. I donate to that address
3. Done :)

Hi @kpanic ,  I had donated too, but it never asked me any questions like that when I paid via my paypal account. I agree, I too would be put off from donating if I'd been asked a bunch of questions.

If you were paying via your paypal account it should not have asked you anything, it should already know your details after you log into your PayPal. However if you were trying to pay while signing up to create a new paypal account, it might have asked you for lots of details because a paypal account is almost like a bank account (in terms of asking for details).

Anyway, whatever the situation, I hope someone will be along soon who knows the answer to what you experienced. I just wanted to mention that this was not a situation that came up for me.

Well, I tried to donate via PayPal but instantly it began to ask all kinds of personal information,
not just name and address, but unnecessary stuff about me.

If I have understood correctly the idea of PayPal being an 'easy way to pay',
then let it be. If they want to get rid of users who have used their services for
20 years - this is the way to do it.

I expected a few clicks, not half of a biography
