Time to go mate. You've posted a number of threads of similar 'ilk'  ie. 'God I hate linux' 'Closed minds' your very name 'SICKOFLINUX' is 'trollish' by nature. You've had your say here many times over, and the good natured folk here have put up with it long enough. You need to find an OS that is perfect. Good luck on your journey.

I'm sorry but it must be you! Are you a MS troll by any chance?
I've been running linux distros for years, some better than others but each and every version of Linux Lite has served me fine and it runs on all my PCs (which are very varied if you see my profile, all LL3.8 ). Firefox is troublesome on my wifes win10 PC so it is not a solely linux problem. Similarly for Thunderbird on win10.
The support for LL is second to none and given without fee or delay, try to get that from other commercial systems!
To denigrate a system developed by unpaid people around the world and given free with no compulsion to use, is childish. Remember, windows in all its forms was basically compulsory to use, however bad it was - it was near impossible to buy a PC without paying for windows.
So my suggestion to you is to make your life easier, revert to windows 10 if you think it a system fit for purpose and avoid having to complain - that is if you are not a MS  troll, otherwise try a fresh install of the latest release and then let us know how satifactory it is. Linux does not support ALL existing hardware, for the same reason that win10 does not, but I'm sure you know that already.  ???
1) Lenovo T520 i5 LL3.8 8GB ram, fast & stable
2) Medion P4 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, quite fast & stable
3) eeePC 901 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, fast & stable
4) eeePC 701 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, slower & stable but small and light enough to travel with me to New Zealand when visiting family in Blenheim.

"Broken by updates" is a recurring theme in a lot of Ubuntu-based Linux distros.  In Linux Lite I avoid that breakage completely by using @ralphy 's adaptation of Linux Mint's update tool.  Even though any user can selectively update, many of us don't know what updates are safe and which ones are "risky."  Using the safe updater from unlockforus.com, that problem is solved!  I would not use any Ubuntu-based Linux distro without that safe updater.

I guess I'll get my hand smacked for saying so here, because using Ralphy's updater is not the official and approved way to keep Linux Lite updated!  I'm jus' say'n... I wouldn't use any Ubuntu-based distro - including Linux Lite - without a way to know about updates and to update selectively.

Having installed Linux lite about a year or two ago thanks to a generous benefactor whereupon it ran without fault.Upon every update it has become more dysfunctional.
I have updated fairly regularly feeling that this is the wise thing to do & that others know best but with each update firefox has become more dysfunctional with out of control scripts & endless crashes until a few days ago when it was'nt even possible to restart it so I had to revert via the setback facility to the original installation.

Am I the only one that has to conclude that this is an operating system not fit for purpose? I don't want to be ungrateful as it cost me nothing in the first place & obviously a lot of people have put a lot of work into it but it seems like total crap to me when you can do everything recommended & you end up with a completely inoperable system.Reasonable of not?
