Hello!

The Bluetooth mod, as posted in the forums? Been expecting this to be incorporated eventually, for Bluetooth audio support out of the box.

No one else has this, so it would give LL an edge. Adding it myself every time is a real drag...

To liamjake05,

That has been addressed in the following thread https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/on-topic/another-reason-i'm-glad-i-chose-linux-lite/msg16581/#msg16581.  A replacement to the Ubuntu Software Center is forthcoming.  Perhaps that will be a consideration for a future Linux Lite release.

- Looking at adding Ubuntu Extras by default (seems to have codecs people are use to on Windows ootb)
In some countries shipping with codecs is illegal. That's why Ubuntu doesn't include them by defaulft.
This can be resolved by providing a codec-free iso image of Linux Lite. Same as Mint does with their Mint 17.x versions. But that doesn't prevent people from, let's say USA, to download the version with all the codecs built in. But as distro provider you can say that you did obey the laws.....

On the other hand even watching DVD's on linux is illegal in the US, but no one got caught. :)

This will improve users experience a lot! Take a look at Linux Mint were they install all the codecs by default. Simply, easy out-of-the-box experience. This is one of their main objectives to advertise Linux Mint as being user friendly. Doing the ssame will help LinuxLiteOS a lot!

Hmmm...not sure this is an improvement. It could be a good assistance for ex-Windows users, but the Whiskermenu will get more cramped up in such way you need to expand the Whiskermenu. On the other, with today's screen sizes it won't be such a big problem.

LightDM in Linux Lite is a great improvement. Maybe add the LightDM GTK+ Greeter Settings tool, to personalize it.
Xfce 4.12 would be great to.
To have the system in the same language of choice during the installation process, is a must have for me... Including the items in the menu (ditch the personalizations that the system installs in the /home/user/.local/share/applications folder, because their name do not change when you change the system language).

I have no idea what's involved.. ??? ?

But for consistency could Lite Software be made to look like Lite Control Centre..?
So the tabs would indicate the type of software:
Audio, Video, Media, Utilities etc..
Tap on the tab, see the list, and tick what you want.

It would give a nice consistent experience,
If I only had time, I would try to draw what I mean.

A simple one click button/solution for power management on/off would be very beneficial for newcomers to LL and Linux in general. For example, when I load up Audacious or similar for music to listen to while I am busy in the other room or something, I have to go into power management and disable it otherwise the PC shuts down to sleep mode.
It would be nice if multimedia players did a keep alive automatically , but until they do a simple solution for people used to Windows would be nice.
