Open it up and replace the CMOS battery and reload the BIOS defaults. Let the BIOS detect the hardware again.

I have a Gateway Profile 4 all-in-one that gives an error when booting from live DVD.  ACPI error shows on screen.  Then it polls each of the five USB ports, but no address is assigned to any of them.  So I have no usb after booting,  the Intel ethernet card doesn't work, screen resolution looks OK, but after installing LL, only 3/4 of the screen shows on the monitor.  Images are too large.

When booting back into the live DVD, screen resolution looks fine.  The only way I can get the usb ports and the ethernet connection to work is to boot into safe mode from the DVD.

Everything works fine in Win XP and Win 7.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in Advance for any help.
